M.G. Abbott, Inc. was founded in 1971 by Martin “Gene” Abbott, whose vision was to build an electrical contracting company grounded in hard work, craftsmanship, and lasting relationships. After beginning his career in 1969 working for an electrical contractor in Central Ohio, Gene earned his State of Ohio Electrical License in the fall of 1971 and made the decision to establish his own company as a State of Ohio corporation. As a State of Ohio Certified Electrician, he set the standard for quality workmanship and professional integrity that continues to guide the company today.

From its earliest days, M.G. Abbott, Inc. earned a reputation for dependable service and attention to detail, growing steadily through long-term client partnerships and word-of-mouth referrals.
